A Review of the Book "All Her Little Secrets" by Wanda M Morris

Title: All Her Little Secrets
Author: Wanda M Morris
Publisher: HarperCollins Publishers Ltd
Year: 2021
371 pages

Secrets always tend to come back and bite you. And boy does Ellice Littlejohn have secrets!

An Ivy-League-Educated corporate lawyer, she is one of the few people of colour in the company  at which she is employed. She has often felt she had to work harder than others to gain the respect of her colleagues. That hard work moved Ellice up the ranks until the day she came into the office only to find her white boss, who happened to also be her lover, dead in his office, killed by a gunshot to the head. She found him, and then walked away, telling no one what she saw.

After that, Ellice's life turned upside-down as she frantically worked to protect her secrets while discovering that her employer also has its own secrets.

In All Her Little Secrets, Morris takes her readers on a whirlwind trip of mystery and intrigue, while pointedly describing life of a person of colour working in the white corporate world. The combination of politics and suspense makes for a thrilling read, including an unexpected ending.

Morris' book made for a great summer read, especially if you enjoy suspense novels.
